Digital Service Delivery

Website Hosts UK provides digital web hosting and related online services. These services are delivered electronically and may be activated, provisioned or made available shortly after payment.

Because there are no physical goods to return, refund requests are assessed based on the type of service purchased, the time since purchase, whether the service has been used and whether the account has complied with our policies. Refund eligibility only applies to selected shared hosting services where the conditions of this policy are met.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds are reviewed manually and depend on the service type and account usage.

Eligible Services

Refund requests may be considered for selected shared hosting services only, where the request is submitted within 7 days of the original purchase date.

VPS, VDS, server and root-access services are non-refundable once ordered, provisioned or activated.

Service Usage

Shared hosting refunds may be declined where a service has been significantly used, consumed, configured, migrated, abused or relied upon beyond initial setup.

This includes heavy resource usage, repeated support work or services that have already incurred third-party costs.

Policy Compliance

Accounts suspended, restricted or terminated for abuse, fraud, chargebacks, non-payment or policy violations are not normally eligible for refunds.

This includes breaches of our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy or Fair Usage Policy.

Non-Refundable Services and Charges

Some services and charges are non-refundable because they are provisioned instantly, supplied by third parties, renewed automatically, reserved as infrastructure or consumed as part of service delivery.

  • VPS, VDS, server or root-access services once ordered, provisioned or activated
  • Domain name registrations
  • Domain renewals
  • Domain transfers where costs have been incurred
  • Hosting renewals after the initial billing period
  • Setup, migration or managed service work already completed
  • Services cancelled after significant use
  • Accounts suspended due to policy violations
  • Chargeback-related fees or disputed payment costs
  • Promotional or discounted first-month offers, where stated

VPS/VDS No-Refund Notice

VPS, VDS and server services are digital infrastructure services. Once ordered, provisioned or activated, they are non-refundable.

Important Domain Note

Domain names are usually registered, renewed or transferred through third-party registry systems. Once a domain transaction has been submitted or completed, it is normally non-refundable.

Shared Hosting Refunds

For selected shared hosting services, refund requests may be considered if submitted within 7 days of purchase and the account has not been significantly used, abused or suspended for policy reasons.

Where a shared hosting service has been used to host live websites, send email, store large files, consume significant resources or receive substantial support assistance, a refund may be refused or reduced.

Refunds are not intended to cover temporary usage, trial-style consumption or services purchased and used for a short project before cancellation.

VPS, VDS and Server Services

VPS, VDS, server and root-access services are provisioned as digital infrastructure services and may involve immediate third-party, infrastructure, IP address, licensing or usage costs.

For this reason, VPS, VDS and server services are non-refundable once ordered, provisioned or activated. Refund eligibility only applies to selected shared hosting services where the request meets the conditions of this policy.

Cancellations

Cancelling a service stops future billing where applicable, but it does not automatically mean a refund is due for time already used or services already delivered.

Renewals

Renewal payments are generally non-refundable once the new billing period has started or the service has remained active after renewal.

Promotional Offers

Promotional pricing, trial-style first-month offers or discounted setup offers may have additional conditions and may not be refundable unless stated otherwise.

Abuse, Fraud and Policy Violations

Refunds will normally be refused where a service has been used for spam, phishing, malware, illegal content, abuse, excessive resource usage, fraud, unauthorised access attempts or other activity that breaches our policies.

We may also refuse refunds where an account is linked to chargebacks, false details, attempted misuse of promotional offers or behaviour that puts our services, customers or network at risk.
